Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma: This malignant tumor of the lacrimal gland is not encapsulated. It erodes adjacent bone and often has perineural invasion causing pain. There are various patterns of growth with the Swiss cheese (cribiform) pattern shown here. Radical surgery is recommended, but the patient still has a poor prognosis. Back to Orbit
